Just Me

Two more days and it's 2012. This honestly one of my favorite times of the year. Because a new year can mean a new you.. 2012 is going to be that year for me.  I have already made a huge lifestyle change and will continue to make necessary ones in the new year. This year I am not calling them resolutions because I never stick to them. This time I'm just calling them necessary changes, because in all reality that's what they are. I'm not making unrealistic ones either. Right now my biggest lifestyle change was to start eating healthier quit eating the junk food. My change/goal for the new year is to get back down to my weight before college as of right now I have 40 more to go. Those of you who know me know that I have always struggled with my weight. Well it's no more. I'm sick of feeling tired all the time and I hate walking to class a 15 minute walk and being out of breath that's not normal. I'm tired of being unhealthy and out of shape and overweight.

Well I hope everyone had a great Holiday Season! I had a very good time and enjoyed spending time with my family. I got everything I wanted for Christmas and more. I'm so blessed to come from such a great family, and my sister is absolutely amazing. :) I'm excited for my parents annual New Years Eve Party. Yes I am going home for it. I'm hoping I can convience and friend to come, but I doubt he will. On that note, I wish he would make up his mind on what he wants, but I find if comforting to know that he is not upset or mad with me. He just wants space to figure things out, which I respect. I just hope he does it fast because I would like to see what may happen if we would start dating, no I didn't say go out, just casual dating, because I've never had that. Hello everyone! It is offically Christmas Eve! Yay. I'm so glad to be home. I love spending time with my family. I really should be in bed because it is 2:30 am. But for whatever reason, not tired. Spending time with the Grandparents tomorrow and exchanging Christmas gifts. I'll make a video on how my weekend was. :) On another note. It really sucks having feelings for someone who doesn't have feelings for you, or refusing to act on those feelings. Especially when I would pretty much do anything just to have a chance to be with him...it really sucks. Somehow I always get myself into the situation. Maybe I just need to step back from boys for a while and foucs on me and what I want out of life, becaue at this point I don't have a clue anymore. Well I'm off to bed now, I'm actually starting to get tired. Better act on it fast before my 2nd wind comes in. (more like 5th wind) Good Night and Happy Holidays :)

Boys suck! On another note, My sister Bailey, and my cousin Andy are coming down to Terre Haute tomorrow and I am so excited! It should be a really fun time!  I don't know what is planned but I can't wait to see them. :)

I'd like to think most of us had an idea of what caused his death, the pole of the catch fence. Today, we know it was the cause. However, many of us thought if the pole was on the outside of the fence rather than the inside it would have made a difference. Today, we find out that it would not have mattered what the position of the pole was. It was the force of the hit that caused his death. I may never get over this, but I do find some peace knowing that aside from his non-survivable head trauma he had no other injuries. I find is incredible and it just shows how safe the cars are.

Along with my new lifestyle change I wanted to find something that was still good and cured my sweet tooth. Well I just recently weighed myself and I have lost 5 more pounds for a total of 15. I couldn't be happier. :) I'm so excited, I still crave some junk food every now and then but I don't buy it. I'm using the "out of sight out of mind" method and it is working good. But I'm also eating a lot more healthier. I walked to class yesterday and didn't get out of breath once. I still have a long ways to go, but I'm glad I'm finally able to do it. Now, I just have to work on a few more things aka study habbits for next semester and I will be good to go. :)

I sit here attempting to study for my finals and all I can think about is Dan Wheldon. It still seems like a big nightmare. Dan Wheldon can't be gone. It's not fair. I remember it like it was yesterday. I had to work the day of the Las Vegas race and I was pissed that I couldn't enjoy the last race with my family and friends. But I went to work anyway, because that is what a responsible adult does. I work at a kiosk so it is easy for me to check things on the internet. Well this particular day I was a little busy with customers so I didn't get to start the radio broadcast on time. I think I tuned in on lap 10, it was right before the horrid accident happened. After the accident happened I knew something was wrong, I felt it in the pit of my stomach. I called my family constantly, tweeted, and facebooked. At this point work was the last thing on my mind. It was roughly 5:15 or so and while I had been crying the whole time, it was different, I just had a complete melt

I'm just full of words tonight. There isn't much to say on my journey with wightloss right now. So far I have changed my eating habbits and eating only when I'm hungry. So far I have lost 10 pounds! I have slowly been incorporating exercise into my daily routine. 10 pounds may not be that much but I feel so much better about myself and I can't wait to continue on with this journey. :)

There are many things that I don't often talk about, however, I feel the urge to talk about some of these things. For starters, this may seem really lame but I just want to get it out. I'm 22, will be 23 in six months, and I have never been on a date. See I told you lame. But as lame as that may be, I'm perfectly fine with that. A year ago, even 6 months ago I would have been embarrased to admit that. I am waiting on that 'right guy' which may or may not exsist. I know that no guy or person for that matter is perfect, but it is not about being perfect it is about feeling perfect around that person. I feel like I may have found this guy. The guy that makes me feel perfect in every way imaginable. There is just a small problem. We live an hour apart, and I hate that. I wish we lived closer so I could see if this guy is really the guy for me, but all signs point to yes.  But for now, I'm just gonna have to trust that everything will work out the way it's s

This weekend was a little boring. I worked all day on Saturday, with a horrible stomach ache. Thank goodness that is over with. :) I didn't do a whole lot, I stayed in mostly. I had the day off today so I could study for finals. This was my first Sunday off since Dan Wheldon's service in Indy. It was nice to have it off even if I had to study. Not much going on today. Just pretty much getting ready for work and playing around with my hair. :-) I go into work at 5 and work till 10. Probably not doing much tonight. Finals are this coming week and I really need to study. However, I am excited to get my VoxBox from influenster. The boxes shipped out today so hopefully I'll have mine when I get home from work get it tomorrow. If not next week will be okay. My diet has been going really well. So far I have lost 10 pounds :) I have really been doing good about eating things that I good for me and not artfical foods. I have learned every once in a while is fine but not all the time. I feel really good about myself. :) So excited to share this journey with everyone.

These past few months have been a whirlwind of emotions. On October 16, 2011 Dan Wheldon died after a horrific crash at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Today, we find out IndyCar will not be returning to LVMS next year. Some may be happy others are not sure why. Racing is racing, and we all know the dangers. Dan Wheldon would not have liked this decision. Dan more than anyone I know loved the IndyCar Series and everything it stood for. So why take away a track, an oval no less? Especially after he spent most of the season working on a safer openwheel race car. I agree there are some modifcations that can be made, one being moving the poles from the catch fence to the outside, instead of the inside. Simple adjustments like this could prevent an accident like Dan's resulting in death, in the future. Just my thoughts.
